The courseis taught to level 1 in all ATA chapters. This means a brief overview of theairframe and avionic systems and power plant as outlined in the SystemDescription Section of the Aircraft Maintenance Manual.

Uponcompletion of the course the student will be able to:

• Identifysafety precautions related to the airframe, its systems and power plant
•  Define thegeneral layout of the aircrafts major systems and power plant
• Identify special toolingand test equipment used with the aircraft

The students attending the course should have the following prerequisites:

• A basic knowledge of aircraft in general
